nmeradio.jpgThis is a great signal for indie music.  Whether you read NME or not, they do get the word out on new bands early.

Ok, they might hawk some bands that don’t deserve it.  But for every band like that there are 5 new bands worth checking out.  According to an article in the Guardian, NME is building a broadcast studio and will hit the airwaves next year.  They are clearly attempting to create a musical empire as they recently launched NMETV, a 24-hour music channel.

You can access a beta version of NME Radio on their website where you will also find some webcasts (some are hosted by the one and only Tim Chester.)
