The Boston Globe features this 4-piece who seem to have a pretty sweet lucky streak. It’s a fun little read about the band members meeting while attending Berkley School of Music and getting their music played for the right people. It’s not to say that talent doesn’t play a part. Talent was something which Jim Eno (Spoon) spotted when he had an opportunity to listen to the band’s demo.
Austin seems to play a recurring role for the band from their Spoon connection to their SXSW appearance last year. They will be returning and have several gigs slated over their SXSW stay – just check out their MySpace for the particulars.
The sound has a ‘pop’ vibe, but I wouldn’t call them bubble gum. Via Audio’s sound lands them somewhere between Indie pop and singer/songwriter pop. No worries, you won’t get a cavity listening to their album, Say Something Say Something Say Something.
