Plants and Animals for streaming

Standard

The crazy and hard-to-define trio from Montreal released their album, ‘Parc Avenue’ this week.  It will be available in the States March 25.  In the meantime check them out via their MySpace which allows you to stream the entire album.

It’s an impressive work.  ‘Parc Avenue’ is filled with epic, intricate pieces that keep the listener engaged.  Add the whimsy of the bandmates to their energetic live shows and you have a combo that’s hard to beat.  I dug up a couple articles on them and they started out just jamming which is pretty evident from the tracks, but it’s very interesting how the band developed into writing and recording songs.

Canada.com covers their process.  The Canadian Press scopes out the inspiration behind ‘Parc Avenue’ specifically.
