You know that excitement when you hear that one of the bands you like is working on a new release, right?
Then all at once you’re gutted when you find out it will be 5 months before you can get your hands (or ears) on it! Now if a band had just started writing or recording I wouldn’t feel too let down by a 5-month wait – in fact, that’s not bad at all. But when they’ve been working for about 5 months already, exasperation hits the fan. Literally.
The Chemikal Underground newsletter arrived in my inbox this morning with news that De Rosa’s release date is targeted for October. Shouldn’t complain when other bands I like (El Presidente and The Yards) don’t even seem to be calculating a second release.
Thank goodness Primal Scream’s album will be out this summer!
