Harcourt steps down as MBE host

“Morning Becomes Eclectic” will have a new host fairly soon as Nic Harcourt has decided to move on.  During his ten years with KCRW his reputation grew as he gave lesser known artists some well-deserved exposure.

Harcourt is also performing music supervisor duites for CW’s new version of “90210” and it sounds as though he may focus more on similar opportunities in the future.  He won’t be completely leaving KCRW.  A new 3-hour show will debut on Sunday evenings to replace the “Sounds Eclectic” program.

The station’s GM, Ruth Seymour stated “NIC is a hard act to follow.  We are now in the process of choosing a new Music Director. We have been looking at potential candidates with an eye toward announcing a choice in the next few weeks.”
